The kiln is warm and the tray is waiting. Tap each unnumbered cell to cycle between unknown, ember and charcoal. Every ember island must hold exactly one numbered clue and contain exactly that many cells. Separate islands cannot touch along an edge, all charcoal must connect, and no two-by-two square may be entirely charcoal.
Eighteen different trays turn these simple rules into careful little logic puzzles. The Island Bench follows a selected clue and lets you shape its actual frontier while keeping its current area in view. Soot Draft lays out the tray's real two-by-two windows. Once per tray, Break Square can turn the last unknown cell of a three-charcoal window into ember, using the public square rule at a cost of three edits.
Rough charcoal, orange fired surfaces and stamped brass clues give the tray a tactile forge finish. Complete any arrangement that satisfies the rules to earn the next tray; the game accepts valid alternatives. Each attempt has a hundred-edit allowance and can be retried. Everything plays on the device without an account or network connection.
