Circle or Square

A shape flashes on screen. You have half a second to answer.

Circle means left. Square means right. Triangle means both at once.

That is the entire game. There is nothing else to learn, and no way to get better except to actually get faster.


HOW IT WORKS

Hold your phone sideways, a thumb on each edge. Shapes appear in the centre, one after another, and each one tells you which side to touch. Answer correctly and the next shape is already coming. Answer wrong and you lose a heart.

You get three hearts for the whole run.


IT GETS FASTER

Round 1 gives you twelve shapes and fifteen seconds. Comfortable.

By round 4 the triangles arrive, and you need both thumbs to land together. By round 8 you are answering a hundred shapes in a minute. Somewhere past that is the point where your hands stop keeping up with your eyes, and that point is different for everyone.

IT MEASURES YOU HONESTLY

Every answer is timed from the moment the shape appears to the moment your thumb lands, using your phone's own touch hardware.

The gap between shapes is randomised, so you cannot fall into a rhythm and tap on the beat. Guessing early counts as a miss. The only way to score is to actually see the shape and react to it.

After every run you get your average reaction time, your longest streak and exactly where you stopped. A typical adult lands somewhere around 400 milliseconds. Under 300 is genuinely quick.


NO NONSENSE

No ads. No in-app purchases. No account. No internet permission at all, which means nothing about you can leave your phone, because the app cannot send anything anywhere.

Your best score is saved on your device and nowhere else.
