Description
Civil War: 1861 covers the opening battles of the American Civil War. The game covers both the small and large actions of that momentous year, starting with the battle at 'Big Bethel', on to the comparatively vast engagements at 'Bull Run' and 'Wilson's Creek'.
In 1861 both sides have plenty of volunteer recruits who, though enthusiastic, lack battlefield experience. On the weaponry side much of the equipment still belongs to the Napoleonic Era with a plethora of muzzle loading, smoothbore artillery.
Many of the commanders, who most would identify as the leaders the civil war armies, are still junior officers in the engagements recreated in this game. Command the Union or Confederate forces in these key battles.

A must-have for Civil War buffs! Just 1 question. Playing as the Union on
Campaign 1 Opening Shots Mission 1 Boonville, I just cannot move into the
Victory Hex even after it is empty, so I always lose. Is there any reason
why infantry cannot move into a Victory Hex even though it is empty and
well within their move radius?

Great game really enjoying it so far. I have found it crashes quite frequently at least a couple of times per map. Just wondering if we're going to get some more of these games on android. Would love to play peninsular war battles and Wellington victory love that period

Game is awesome and what I from a civil war game, just wish it were a bit more realistic and crash less, it freezes and then crashes not just the game but my whole phone

Game would freeze when I made screen smaller. Other times it would freeze in middle of gameplay. Would have to end app and restart. Would always continue after restart. Game itself is good except for frozen problem.

It would be a 5 star, but it crashes 4 or 5 times on a short scenario to right after a large one loads it crashes. The only saving grace is the game saves as it crashes, so you can go back to where you left off. It is fun other than that but because it crashes way too often I cannot recommend this game.
