No, this is not your typical Civ game. If you're looking for that kind of experience in this game, you'll be disappointed. This is a Simulation MMO game with some Civ features equipped with Enolization as one of the core mechanics of the game. I've been playing it for a year every day because I must say that it is a fun game. AoEM gameplay pales in comparison to this personally. However, I gave this game a low rating because contents are very slow to release and now 99% players are bored.

Reduced my rating from 5 stars to 2 stars. While the game itself is still enjoyable, what killed it for me was it became too time-consuming that I got burnt out playing this. Another factor was the immense power creep with the heroes. Since the mother-company's merger, the new commanders you have to constantly pull for seemingly became too OP while the earlier heroes suddenly became lack-luster. A 1 star new heroes outclasses most, if not all 5 star old heroes.

I have played this since March 2024. The developers of this game have brought nothing but disappointment after disappointment. Don't get me wrong, the gameplay is better than most SLG games out there. However the execution is horrendous. The dev team is small from what I see, hence development is slow. Last year, I even had to wait half a year for one season gameplay. When they do deliver, bugs outshines the new game contents. Game direction is becoming bad at this point too. (can't add more words)

I played this game for just over a year and spent a fair bit of money and time on it, the developers have repeatedly put an unfair night mode on the game that directly disadvantages players from New Zealand and Australia even after communication with devs saying they knew it was bad. I'd like to be able to play this game on my morning commute, but they've limited even basic PvE mechanics on it so unless I stay up until 1 or 2am most nights, which as an adult I can't do. Sad, cos the games fun.
