ClearRecord Pro - Noise Free

★★★★★ Amazing Quality. Used this for years and I still love it. Works fantastically for interviews, recording class lectures, and musical performances. Great quality, noise reduction, and overall performance. Every voice recording (and even live music sets) are clear and wonderful quality. Highly recommend.

★★★★★ Here is how the professionals do it!! Final solution which I love requires purchase of EasyVoice Recorder Pro and ClearRecord Pro. I record with EasyRecord adjusting the drop level on a per recording basis, but permanently change the default save location to the ClearRecord directory, I then use ClearRecord to playback at 1.5x speed. If I am doing notes, I use EasyRecord to listen because the playback button has more control. ClearRecord has great features for the money, but it appears there is no longer any development. ClearRecord has playback speed controls but does a poor job of skip-back during reviewing. When the lecture is over 30 minutes long, the linear scroll-bar feature is too sensitive and becomes worthless. I enjoy the playback speed control but need a simple button that can skip back 10-15 seconds. (It would be way cool if the skip back period were adjustable, i.e. in settings.) I would easily pay much more for this feature alone. 1st UPDATE: I found Easy Voice Recorder Pro (more $ but worth it). Very feature rich, no playback speed control but I like the adjustable drop function that automatically cuts out when speech stops. I think this will save a lot of review time... time will tell.

★★★★★ ALMOST there. Amazing noise reduction on my Huawei Mate 9 with 4 microphones. Just needs more features to get to 5 stars. Still, easily worth the money for the pro version.

★★☆☆☆ The new version has ui "Enhancements" that lose all of the functionality I came to expect from the old version. The biggest annoyance is that navigating away from the main page causes you to lose the recording. It doesn't even save what's been recorded up to that point, just all gone. Secondly, there is no longer a bar to let you skip through the recording, so it's play from start or nothing. Nor is there a pause button when playing, so you can't stop while playing and restart from where you left off at. This has been a major downgrade for this app.

★★☆☆☆ Hutch My comment before all the changes: (This app always has & still perform very well. I eliminates background noise & picks up voice well, even in large areas.) But NOW, I only wish I could have the "old faithful" version back. The one I could always count on. I work in a very fast pace position. Instructions are blurted out and I've got to be able to gather & perform them. So I'd record instructions. Now, I record & go back to listen and it's GONE! NO RECORD OF WHAT I JUST RECORDED! Currently USELESS! -Note5

★★☆☆☆ Bad Permissions Read Phone State and Identity? No thanks, I get enough spam text messages and phone calls, without me needing to accept that permission, allow you then to read my phone number, and contacts, and then sell my number to some shady telemarketing service, as I said, I've made that mistake enough in the past to know I'm not going to allow apps that permission, unless it's absolutely necessary. And guess what?! This app worked fine before when it didn't request the ability to read my phone number and to see when I make phone calls, and to who. As a word of warning to other customers, stop and think and ask yourself, do you get spam text messages and phone calls? If you do and you know you are not handing out your phone number to every website you visit, or signing up for stupid contests. Well, the culprit would be any apps that request Read Phone State and Identity, and if the app doesn't absolutely need it to function, well you can bet your number is being sold to some third world telemarketing firm. Some apps need that permission, like apps that might use your phone, well I see no reason that this does. Just a word of warning to those who care about privacy, and not being harassed.
