ClipTween : Animation Maker

ClipTween is an easy animation maker for your phone and tablet. Draw or import your art, set a few keyframes, and ClipTween animates the movement in between. Add text, effects and music, then export your cartoon as an MP4 video or an animated GIF, ready to share.

Make cartoons, animated stories, memes, intros, animated text and motion graphics for short videos and posts. No frame-by-frame drawing needed: move, rotate and scale any layer on the timeline and the app tweens it smoothly, with easing curves for bounce, overshoot and smooth ease-in and ease-out motion.

ANIMATE WITH KEYFRAMES
• Layers and a timeline built for touch
• Keyframe position, rotation, scale, opacity and more
• 16 easing curves, including Back and Elastic for lively, bouncy motion
• Move, trim and split layers in time
• Group layers, duplicate them with their animation, or merge several into one
• Snap layers into place while you move them
• Full-screen preview with sound

DRAW YOUR OWN ART
• Over 180 brushes: ink, pencil, chalk, paint, textures, patterns, nature, trees, mountains, rocks, sky and clouds, light rays and glows, buildings, roads and more
• Change size, opacity, spacing, scatter, taper and rotation for every brush
• Stroke smoothing for clean, steady lines
• Eraser, fill bucket and polygon cut
• Colour wheel, colour harmonies, saved swatches and an eyedropper
• Use your own image as a brush
• Undo and redo every stroke

IMPORT ART AND SPRITE SHEETS
• Import images from your gallery
• Automatic slicing finds every piece of a character sheet or sprite sheet
• Or cut the picture into an even grid, or mark the pieces yourself

TEXT AND EFFECTS
• Text layers with many fonts, weights, spacing and colours
• Typewriter effect to type words onto the screen
• Outline, drop shadow, glow, blur, hue, saturation and contrast
• Masks, switch layers to swap mouths and poses, and IK for natural arm and leg movement
• Animate the effects with keyframes too

MUSIC AND SOUND
• Add music, voice or sound effects (MP3, M4A, WAV, OGG, FLAC)
• See the waveform, then trim, split and move clips and set the volume
• Hear the sound while you scrub through the timeline

EXPORT AND SHARE
• MP4 video with sound, or animated GIF
• Portrait 9:16 for stories and shorts, square 1:1 for posts, or landscape 16:9
• Full HD 1080p
• Save a project file to back up your work or move it to another device

PRIVATE BY DESIGN
• No account and no sign-in
• Your drawings and projects stay on your device and are never uploaded
• Drawing, animating and exporting work offline
