Description

Tudo começou em 18 de novembro de 1949. Os freis capuchinhos da Igreja Santo Antonio, localizada na Vila Alpina, em Santo André, fundaram o Educandário Santo Antonio, que em princípio, só poderia funcionar como uma escola para formação de padres.

Porém, rapidamente a instituição passou a contar com o antigo primário para crianças da comunidade. Assim, a Sra. Maria Delphina de Carvalho Neves, então Diretora da escola, recebeu a incumbência de continuar os trabalhos por conta própria, mas em outro endereço, já que a igreja não poderia mais administrar a escola.

Dona Maria conseguiu manter o Educandário vivo e com sucesso. Posteriormente ele foi herdado por sua neta, que em 1982, entregou-o à atual administração.
