Comments on KeePassDroid for Android
★★★★★
I have been using this KeePass implementation on Android for many years. I share my database and key file to Google Drive and I access this on my Mac & PC depending. Works very well. My current issue, it took me about 1 year to find the time to report this !! The app remembers the database but not the key file. It remembers the folder, so every time I open the app, I have to go and select the key file and then to open the database. I have grown very efficient with this but can this be fixed?

I wanted to expand on my review than just listing 5 stars. Dear dev, thank you very much for creating an app that doesn't require invasive and unnecessary permissions. I have been using your app since it first appeared and recommended others many times over. For those looking for a password app, it plays nicely with PC's KeePass version and I can store and share the files without problems in both One Drive and Google Drive.
★★☆☆☆
Super hard to transfer to a new phone. I have had it for a few years and every time I need to transfer it to a new phone it's a problem to find the back-up file in the Dropbox. Now I cannot open it at all because I'm getting a file not found error. "Try opening from a content provider" no idea what that means 🤷🏻♀️. I don't have this installed on my PC just on my phone. So I don't have access to any of my passwords.

Would give it 4 stars if it supported android autofill only it does not, and I will not use a password manager that can't autofill passwords that are complex. Sorry developers, But with today's complex passwords that are required for security it's impossible to not use an autofill service get on the game and put it in there. Has Samsung Galaxy S21 with android 13 and android autofill service does not offer the option to use this software for autofill. Presently, I use Keepass2Android.

Currently has a critical bug, at least in Android 12. After first accessing a Database file in external storage, it becomes unable to access it again. It also doesn't put itself in the list of apps that can open database files from context, so you end up locked out. Workaround: in App Info, delete all cache, app data and external file access permissions, resetting the app to a clean slate. It will then be able to open the DB once, as if it was the 1st time. Better use KeePass2Android for now.
