Simply the best. I have used this for over a decade. It works, it works simply, it has never enshittified itself, and this app should be the benchmark not just for podcasts but for all utility apps. Just do the job and do it well. Podcast addict does that job.

Listened to one podcast in the background on a 45-minute bus ride and this garbage app sucked up 65% of my battery in that time. Absolute trash software. Your app is garbage. It hijacks the phone and starts playback on its own. It 100% did what I said.

Randomly jump backwards in my Podcast while listening at work. I then have to stop my work get the phone out and find where it skipped backwards from. The developer says this is normal but never experienced that issue with other Podcast Players. My review is solidified by the child like reply from the developer. I am listening to same podcast new app works fine. The FAQ is new fyi. Again lied about the FAQ didn't exist when I bought it. He's a miserable person. He just removed his reply lol scum

I downloaded this app because I want the possibility to have an automatic playlist that cycles through all podcasts from oldest to newest episodes without just hearing all episodes of one podcast. Unfortunately, the sorting "oldest first" doesn't work, although I have done all the necessary settings. Also, the amount of ads is too much, and they are very intrusive, interrupting sentences, and the volume is much louder than the podcasts, which is very damaging when wearing earphones.

Upon reinstalling this app on a new device, I realized I had to spend 15 minutes manually disabling every single targeted ad toggle that was enabled per default. Most other apps has the courtesy to include the Reject all on this prompt to reduce tracking and increase privacy by serving only non-targeted ads. As a dev myself, don't let other devs tell you otherwise. It is a choice and it is indecent.
