Duck go is pretty cool. They say they are protecting you in their browser. I hope that is the case. As far as the app goes, it's fast and has really good (a lot of times different from the top of Google) results, and is really easy to make as your main search engine. 10/10 will use of my next device.

It's very easy to opt out of AI features. I've switched to DuckDuckGo because I hate the new push for AI and Google doesn't really make it possible to opt out.

There is an issue with this app since April 9, 2026. An ad blocks my DuckDuckGo app opening every time. The ad interrupts the function of my main browser 24/7. I have tried all the troubleshooting techniques to solve the problem. I screenshot and screen record the issue as it is happening. Do I need to learn how to live with this issue? Should I delete DuckDuckGo and find another browser? DDG has been a solid solution for me for years, but I cannot report DDG as having been the problem.

I was a big fan. DDG violated their own agreement by giving OUR data to Micros lop and not blocking Micros lop trackers. DDG also promotes MSN (Micros lop) in their search engine. My advice: Use TrackerContol or Net Guard to block trackers & use Mojeek as a private search engine. This browser isn't safe to me. I've also removed the @duck email alias-who knows if they were giving THAT to Microsoft as well. Also, the browser seeming has trackers in it... DDG lived long enough to become the villain.
