Comments on Moon+ Reader Pro for Android

★★★★★ Jen Peterson · Jul 21, 2026

This has become my favorite book reader app! It is chocked full of endless options to customize reading your way… Everything from dual page layout, customizable themes, right down to background color or custom image as background, real page flip options, page flip sounds, customizable reading bar for the bottom of the page, many page layout options, fonts, backup and cloud sync and more. I honestly can't think of anything that isn't there. I been using Moon+ Reader Pro for 20 years now.

I use it every day, it's the best reader you can get, it's the actual only reason I haven't switched from android to apple. Unfortunately there are some... math? Code logic? Issues. For example, if I read 25% of a book in 3 hours you would expect it to say 9-10 hours left in the book. But it will say 52 hours left. I cannot fathom where that number comes from. The calendar can mess up. Reading words per minute is not very accurate. - as a place to read, It's still the best

I love this app, it's probably the best reader app ive tried. It gives a lot of freedom on how to organize books and how to format your reading experience. The tts is useful when I have to keep my hands free too. I would like it if there was a way to remove a large amount of text, or if names replacement could support a longer string of letters. Sometimes I download a webpage to listen to, and there are miscellaneous repeating passages I would like to remove or "replace" with nothing.

Fantastic app! I especially love the option to synchronize my reading progress between devices […] ETA: Thank you very much, that makes me really happy! ❤️ As for screensavers, I'm sorry, I wasn't clear enough. The method you describe is great when one reads a single book at a time, but quickly becomes tiring if they switch between 2 or more titles, so it would be great if Moon+ Reader Pro set the cover automatically as screensaver (or saved it as cover.png) when a book is opened. Thanks again!

Please kinda fix the tagging marks on books details, the app seems kinda have a glitch where there are 2 light novel tags available its kinda annoying to see. Ill put back the 5star review after the double lightnovel-Lightnovel tags be fixed

Google Drive sync was dropped for no apparent reason. Worthless waste of money and degradation of service.

★★☆☆☆ Silver Ravenfox · Aug 2, 2026

I paid for the pro version, so I could use text to speech, but I do not like how it handles. It's hard to go back and reread (or pretext to speech) parts when I need to go back and hear it again. The screen is jumpy, and I can't even get out of the app (by bringing up my menu from the bottom of the screen) or the book I'm reading jumps to where ever my finger touches (to try and bring up bottom menu) and it messes up where I was. I would like a refund. I have already uninstalled moon reader pro.
