Comments on Magic Earth Navigation & Maps for Android

★★★★★ Danielle.and.Marcello · Sep 20, 2026

Minimalist and clutter-free navigation app. It supports android auto, offline mode and suggest alternative route based on live traffic. It has a small yearly subscription that you can pay on their website or on the app store, definelty worth the money. Navigation experience is much better than Google Maps, however it is not as good when it comes to search for point of interest, because it lacks customer ratings and pictures, and Google Maps still excels on this point.

I have been daily driving this app, in finding an option to Waze, and so far it has been fantastic. The search function is a bit icky. But that might be normal because of the privacy mode. Still in eval mode but I might be willing to pay for it to help support the co. keep it up guys!

DO NOT UPDATE!!! Keep the old version, much better and most features are not locked down. I made the mistake of clicking UPDATE and now offline maps are locked under Premium upgrade option. It used to be FREE before!

★☆☆☆☆ Sean Mulherin · Sep 3, 2026

They lock android auto behind a subscription, but they force you to use Google play to be able to use Android auto. Nothing about this app has privacy in mind.

★☆☆☆☆ Vacknick · Aug 9, 2026

The app was really good before, and I was fine with it getting a premium version, but I would prefer either a one-time purchase, or for the subscription cost to be lowered... as it is way too high for me to even consider it when there are alternatives like Comas, Organic Maps, Osman, Here WeGo, etc. it was my go-to navigation app, but I haven't used it in a while now due to these changes, and I doubt that will be changing any time soon given the direction the app has gone
