Sound Amplifier makes everyday conversations and surrounding sounds more accessible among people who are hard of hearing, using just your Android phone and a pair of headphones. Use Sound Amplifier to filter, augment, and amplify sounds around you and on your device.
Features • Reduce unwanted noise to recognize speech better. • Focus on a speaker’s voice in noisy environments with conversation mode. (Available for Pixel 3 and above.) • Listen to conversations, TV, or lectures. For audio sources that are farther away, Bluetooth headphones are recommended. (Bluetooth headphones might have delayed sound transmission.) • Personalize your listening experience for surrounding conversation or media playing on your device. You can reduce noise or boost low frequency, high frequency, or quiet sounds. Set your preferences for both ears or separately for each ear. • Turn Sound Amplifier on and off using the accessibility button, a gesture, or Quick Settings. I'm going deaf in my left ear, this helps adjust the sounds levels in my earbuds to manipulate the volume levels separately.

Works great. Is 70 years old, normally not able to hear my multimeters' continuity high pitch sound. It works great with my Waze Bluetooth headphones on and the app Boost options selected, I sat my phone next to my multimeter and can hear what I was deaf to hearing. This Sound Amplifier DOESN'T amplify or even acknowledge many sounds. Right now I have one earbud in, and I can NOT hear a bird outside my window using the Sound Amplifier App The ear without an earbud can hear the bird loud and clear. This only hears certain sounds. It produces static and feedback when close to other electronics it transfers its internal sounds as sounds in your environment. . It's not good at voices either. I'm sure there are far better free to use apps

Completely useless! Doesn't work at all! Not even the slightest sound let alone any amplification! Samsung S7 - Maybe too basic a phone to work with? Update - I thought I'd give this app another go on a S10e. Unfortunately same result! Nothing! Perhaps it only works with BT earphones?

The response was very slow. And it's not good to use for the person with hard of hearing. The sound was too noisy and mess, and you hear everything unclear and late response.
