Its great gumtree but as a seller its so annoying when people get in touch by just clicking the quick send a question option which asks "is it STILL Available" if it wasn't it wouldn't be advertised. Too lazy to type and ask a proper question.

You can list your stuff. But it'll sit there for weeks and not sell. No one uses gumtree as a platform anymore.

It's a ghost town. Gumtree is desperately trying to generate some money with paid for extras. It's annoying and makes the UI messy. This is why most people have left. That's a big problem for a selling site. If there's no shoppers left then there's no one to buy your stuff. I hate to say it, but gumtree has come to the end of the line. If you have to pay for the extras to get your ads seen then just go to eBay. Thousands will see your ads rather than tens

Just deleted the app. Been trying to sell on there for a few months and all I got was a few no shows' waiting my time. I also really didn't like that I couldn't choose what kind of notifications I wanted. I needed notifications for messages, but didn't want product recommendations or any type of promo. But it is all or nothing. So I chose nothing and got rid of it.

What I find on Gumtree nowadays is too many P takers who want something for nothing and offer you ridiculous amounts for quality as new items. I spent more time telling people where to go on here than anything else. The delivery option should be stopped, I don't trust people to try and pull a fast one on delivery saying it's damaged in some way. Like gumtree is full of dossers wanting to buy stuff for basically nothing.
