Smb native is the server I use. It is Very Good. I use this as an alternative to the deprecated USB Mass Storage. (Force root to start server, option does not get saved).

Long Time abUser. On Samsung Note 10+ with Android 10, changing the theme does not work. I want "black", but not matter what, it will not change the theme. Is it because I don't have root? If so, that's silly. (EDIT: I had to "force Dark mode" in android Settings > Developer Options. Now I don't have to be blinded by the app, or wear out my AMOLED screen quicker!)

I almost never buy apps on my Android. I think I've bought 3 apps in 11 years. This app is one of them. Definitely worth the money. This app makes sharing files on your phone instant and easy. You can instantly put up just about any kind of Linux server software stack with a couple taps. Having root makes things easier and gives you a very powerful any-server right in your pocket. You can use this to share your internet or create an SSH server, boot a failed computer with PXE, host a website etc.

The techie's Swiss Army knife! I love being able to access my phone's internal storage over a secure FTP connection, and being able to provide live demos for clients on their own systems without having to lug my laptop around! Even though my phone isn't rooted, the HTTP and FTP servers work fine for me, as do the TLS/SSL and login options associated with those servers. I use it almost every day, so it's definitely been well worth the purchase!

Limited even paying for PRO. The additional packs that need installing to support various servers are not compatible with the latest Android.

This app looks impressive and has some excellent potential capabilities. I bought it for one purpose - an FTP server. Unfortunately there are significant unresolved issues. Problem 1: The FTP server does not allow to write access to ExtSDcard storage. First Reported in 2019 and never resolved - since then new phone does not have SD so no longer an issue. Problem 2: High battery consumption if the app is left running - have to remember to manually shut down. Problem 3: The FTP server doesn't properly support timestamps, so date/times are not preserved and synchronization is impossible. Reported - no response for years. Serious problem 4: SMB server only supports SMBv1 - obsolete, insecure, and deprecated - SMB1 not supported by Windows. Problem 5 - tried WEBDAV - does not work at all. So much potential, but always falls short... Waiting for these fixes for several years - nothing. No response to email.
