Scrambled Exif (pronounced eggsif) helps you remove the metadata in your pictures before you share them.
If you feel like it.
If you don't want the big Internet companies (or whomever) to know where your pictures were taken don't forget to remove the metadata from them before you share them.
To remove the metadata from a picture, simply share it like you'd normally do and choose Scrambled Exif. A moment later, the share 'dialog' will reappear. Now just share with the app you intended to share with in the first place.

★ Scrambled Exif also renames the files (this can be disabled).
★ Please don't heavily rely on the data being deleted. Scrambled Exif does its job pretty well, but it could fail. Always double-check before you share.
★ It doesn't really scramble the Exif data, it deletes it. So the name is probably stupid. But I like it. The icon doesn't depict scrambled eggs either. So the icon is probably stupid. But I like it. And I also happen to be a huge fan of eggs. So this app doesn't only have a stupid name and an equally stupid icon, it is also my (non-stupid) tribute to eggs. Especially huevos fritos. Because I love them.

Really useful app! It does exactly what it says it does, and I think (literally) couldn't be any simpler or more straight-forward: share your pic -> select this app, which immediately strips all EXIF data then prompts again for where you'd like to share the "cleaned" image. Files are optionally renamed... Absolutely zero network connections (data collection, advertising, or otherwise) are ever attempted. Search for "scrambled exif pro" to support the dev(s)!

Doesn't work. I share the picture to the app, and the picture disappears. No progress bar... the "share bar" is still there, but the picture shows a broken link icon.

Last week I would gladly have given this app a 5 stars rating but the option to share via Scrambled exif has suddenly disappeared from my phone. I used it happily every day for the past 6 months but any app that vanishes suddenly (especially when no changes whatsoever have been made to my phone or its content) is an absolute stinker. I wish this still worked, it actually was a really useful app, and I used it many times a day.

Doesn't work. Not on my Galaxy S24 Ultra or my older S21. Sharing photos to it does reload the share dialog, but files remain unchanged. I know the app requires storage permission, but it never requests it and the permission doesn't appear in the app info page, so there seems to be no way to grant the required permission.
