This dictionary has been my 'goto' reference for years. Lately, I have favored Google to find the meaning and usage of words that I can't locate here. Is there something amiss with my version? I have, in vane, checked Google play looking for an update. Sadly this was unproductive. :(

Getting flash-banged and jump scared by ads is not my idea of reasonable ad support. I know you guys have to rely on ad support for free models but if your ads are so aggressive that you jump scare people about half of people will pay for your model to get rid of the ads and the other half will immediately uninstall rather than warming up over time. I feel like you're over-all leaving money on the table by having such aggressive ads. If you had a less intrusive banner I'd probably have kept using

Incredibly intrusive ads. Subscription model. Since the internet is there for free, I don't see why you'd use this app. I would be happy with a one time purchase as I would like the ability to save words, and I'm trying to get better at looking up words I don't understand. I wanted a dictionary app to not distract me from reading my book, but ironically I've ended up leaving this review after a poor user experience.
