I was Nova for life. I had been using it since it was in beta. But after getting a fold 8, its downfall showed in the form of foldable form factors. I tried this due to searching online. I couldn't have been happier. The fact that each screen and orientation can be set independently is insane. I immediately paid the donation after about 10 minutes of playing around with it. This is easily the gold standard for foldable launchers.

You all, I swear Octopi Launcher is literally the BEST launcher out there, and this is coming from somebody who scoured the Play Store searching for a launcher that is as customizable as Nova Launcher but supports multiple layouts for Foldable devices!! With the recent updates, I can vouch and say that it is now my top launcher choice, even for non-foldable devices. I hope the developers keep working hard and maintain it for many years to come. Wishing them the very best <3

Widgets never refresh, have to clear cache and restart. Icons don't stay in place on expanded dock, that for some reason refresh to default. Dock animations are not smooth despite having an adjuster. App freezes entirely every single time an update is pushed, every single time. Keeps getting worse. Random swipe gesture breaking. Really starting to second guess this on my daily driver.

Pro unlock being a per-device thing feels like I was cheated, I ran the purchase on my phone, so I could use fingerprint verification expecting it would enable Pro on every device on my account, but it doesn't, so I have a useless Pro unlock on a device I don't use this launcher on. Not willing to buy it on every device separately.

Installed as replacement to Nova and seemed ok initially, but latest release just a pain in the butt for me. Recent Android update caused complete rearrangement of home screen and rebuilding home screen turned into a nightmare with existing icons now overlapping touch zones. No intuitive way to repair. After 3 days of trying I gave up and switched to different launcher.
