UPDATE: The devs have responded and gave me a code to unlock the new paid version of the app. Thank you! There are no random ads, but there is still sponsored content and suggested podcasts that pop up. It was the best one out there. Simple and clean design, but after I bought the pro version, there are now ads and the only way to get rid of them is with a subscription. Not happy.

Bought the pro version a while back to support this clean and simple podcast player, which also came with ad removal. In the latest update the author has added ads back in along with a subscription to remove them - no, thank you... Update: dev asked me to "restore purchases" - in the end the app I paid for (Pod kicker Pro) was removed and replaced by the non-Pro version when the app changed owners. Now with ads and subscription model. No, thanks - Antenna Pod ftw
