UPDATE 6/27/25: Great customer support too! Helped me import an RSS feed and the podcast works perfectly! This is a tremendous app! Google's decision to drop their podcast app left me in the lurch. Luckily I found Podcast Guru. I easily migrated my favorite podcasts. The intuitive controls made the process a breeze, and the interface works flawlessly. During the few times I had issues I was able to solve the problem thanks to great Help support. Can't say enough good things about Podcast Guru!

I am really enjoying the app. I have just upgraded to VIP subscription, which backs up your subscriptions in the cloud, so that they are not lost as has happened to me before with other podcast apps.

Great now randomly half my subscribe podcasts just disappeared. Is still often has problems resuming after a podcast has been paused for a while. I reinstalled, and it crashes often, doesn't want to resume from podcast view. I sense of failure in logic concerning volume boost. I often listen to a single podcast to which I will not be subscribing. Even with a newer, louder phone my aging ears and loud work environment in which I cannot use a speaker or earbuds requires everything to be boosted.

The app now stays open, no matter how many times I back out of it or swipe it off the screen. The only way effectively close is, is to force stop it. It's extremely annoying, because the notification at the top is the screen is always up and taking up all the space. Also, deleting all offline episodes is too accessible, which leads to my accidentally deleting them, when I'm just trying to delete completed episodes. Still the best podcast app on android.

The download and listen offline feature is broken. I will replace Podcast Guru. I quite liked it before. 😮‍💨
