Slingplayer for Phones

★★★★★ UPDATE - No longer working correctly. Picture freezes all the time after using any control while audio continues to work. Happening on Note 8. ---------------------------- What a great APP. Works 10 times better on the Android system than it did on my Windows phone. Can watch the last inings of games, or whatever......Check my cameras at the house. I would be lost without the slingplayer.

★★★★★ I've had slingplayer for many years and it's been great. however, I understand they don't make the boxes anymore and I found the newer- albeit very old- software would not work on newer devices. I had to hunt the old version up for win10 then it worked fine. DirecTV does NOT show many channel you have, local ones in particular and try as I can, I can not get DirecTV to work on windows 10 at all. sling works on everything I subscribe to and see on my DirecTV account. it's perfect for me.

★★☆☆☆ They're trying to force us into the ad version. This is no longer updated, even though I paid $15 for it. It no longer works, video freezes on the first frame. But, lo and behold, the new app that has commercials works perfectly. Pretty crappy customer care, Sling. Leaving your paid customers behind is shady.

★★☆☆☆ This app either fails to connect to my Chromecast (YouTube and Plex have no problems casting to the same Chromecast) or appears to connect for a few seconds before failing, prompting the Chromecast to return to its homescreen. 9/24/2019 - no longer able to cast to Chromecast targets at all and the Roku channel was removed as well. What is Sling Media doing!?!

★★☆☆☆ broken since upgrading Android OS on note 8. the program doesn't change channel and video freezes to a picture.

★★☆☆☆ App freezes everytime you change a channel or watch another show. Slingbox works everywhere else (iPad) but this app went downhill (was always sketchy anyway)
