Digital Command System (DCS) is the most comprehensive and innovative model train control system available. While, at the same time, the easiest to set up and use! You’ll be running your trains in just a few minutes after installing the Wi-Fi DCS app and connecting to any one of several M.T.H. DCS track interface units.
The DCS system is capable of running conventional AC or DC powered model trains utilizing track power controls as well as the ultimate experience of full featured MTH ProtoSound 2.0 or 3.0 and Atlas O® ProtoSound 3.0 locomotives. In addition, DCS is the only cross-platform model railroad control system. When cabled to a Lionel® command base DCS also runs TMCC® and Legacy® engines all within the same app, on the same track, at the same time!! No other system has this capability.
The DCS app connects directly with our entry level system, the DCS Explorer for those just starting their journey into model railroading. For more advanced users, the DCS Wi-Fi Interface Unit (WIU) in combination with the Track Interface Unit (TIU) or, the all new Wi-Fi Track Interface Unit (WTIU) opens up the vast array of features available within the world of DCS. Run multiple trains simultaneously on the same track, control switches and accessories, and immerse yourself in the depth of sound and control features that is Wi-Fi DCS.

Great App - I use it as my primary means of controlling my DCS system (I don't own a DCS handheld remote). Once it discovers the TIU, I'm able to perform all standard DCS operations and commands. I love the ability to use the app on multiple or different Android devices. My only two "wishes" are better or faster integration with the WIU/TIU (Occasionally it fails to discover a TIU, even after multiple refreshes) and an open RESTFUL or intenful API

Simple app that does the job. I find it much more intuitive than the normal DCS remote or TMCC/Legacy remote. It's not perfect, and occasionally have to refresh the app to get running again. Wish TMCC Locos stored their running speed like DCS/Legacy, but I think this is a fault of the TMCC system and not the app.

What more needs to be said about an MTH product? They all always work as advertised. I am still a bigger fan of the physical remote BUT It's cool to have the kids use the trains in a mannor more suited to their electronic expertise lol. Thanks MTH!! YOU NEVER LET ME DOWN!!

I bought a WTIU specifically to run all my newer Protosound 2 and 3 engines since MTH's other technology is abandoned and expensive. The phone recognizes the WTIU is connected via its own Wi-Fi. But when I open up the app, the app says "No WTIU found." Then, I try the home setup with Ethernet cable via the online instructions. The same thing happens. No matter what configuration I use, the app DOES NOT, WILL NOT, CANNOT recognize the WTIU despite what my devices say. This app is garbage.

Needs updated for latest android version. I found this little gem in a list of notifications in google play developer: Starting from 1 Nov 2022, apps that don't target an API level within two years of the latest Android release (API 29 and below) won't be available to new users with devices running Android versions newer than your app's target API level. This means that new users won't be able to discover or install your app on Google Play

Well March is over wondering if the full version that will cost $29.95 will ever be released... to be able to lash-up and run accessories and legacy engines will be worth the 160 already spent plus the 4.99 upgrade to run more than three engines

Need to support super TIU mode! This is just a novelty until I can command my whole layout at one time with it. Also waiting patiently for lash-up support.
