It's NOT pay to win for the most part. As long as you don't look at it like a classic CnC game, you'll be fine, but the familiar factions are very welcoming imo. Super fun game but with the way leagues work, I'm forced to play against new players, so I feel bad coming back after years w/o playing - I'm stuck at the very lowest league, and I would have to grind just to encounter similar level players again (most of my units are at level 10) which I don't want to do. I feel like a bully just for playing

I hate that fact that it matches you to players that are levels much higher that you are. Those players have units with much longer range and much more damage, and you can build 10 x the best units for your level just to have them destroyed without even being in range of your opponents 1 long range unit. The challenge games take forever to start. The challenge battles also match you with must higher players. Don't waste your time with this game

I wanted to give only one star, but I liked the concept and the units are actually fun. This game will directly match you against high level players who are terminally online playing this game, and you'll never win because you're set up to lose and some of these players are real bullies. It's very lame. Just play bots because the matchmaking needs improvement. There really should be a dedicated offline mode with bot support as well, but I'm guessing EA being EA will find a way to monetize that too.
