Convert Image JPG PNG WEBP

A form only accepts JPG, a logo has to be delivered as a transparent PNG, or shop photos need to become small WebP files.

Convert Image turns photos into JPEG, PNG or WebP and saves them as new files. It handles batches, and the rules you use often can be saved as profiles and reapplied in one tap.

What makes it different
- Only the options that matter for the chosen format. JPEG asks for quality and the colour behind transparent areas, PNG whether to keep transparency, WebP lossy or lossless plus quality.
- You decide what happens to transparency. Pick the fill colour (white, black or gray) when saving as JPEG; PNG and WebP can keep transparency down to soft edges, or fill it with a colour.
- Mixed formats in one batch. Set the rule for everything, then tap a single photo to give it its own format.
- Save the rule as a profile. Format, quality, size and naming under a name of your choice, reapplied from the home screen.
- A run history. When, how many photos, which format and how the size changed, kept on the device only. File names are never recorded.
- Retry only what failed. One failed photo never stops the rest, and files that are already saved are not written again.
- Never enlarged. The long edge can be reduced to 1280, 1920, 2560 px or a value you enter, but photos are never scaled up.
- Keep the original name. Photos chosen with "Pick from files" keep their name with the new extension. The system photo picker does not reveal file names, so those photos are saved as SugarConvert + time.
- Real sizes. The result screen shows the real file size before and after, and says so when a file got larger.
- Nothing is uploaded. Photos are processed on your device.
- No storage permission. The app reads only the photos you pick in the system photo picker or file picker.
- Originals are never modified. Results are saved as new files in Pictures/SugarConvert.
- No account.

Presets
- JPG for forms: quality 90, transparent areas white
- WebP for the web: quality 80, long edge 1920 px
- Transparent PNG: logos and graphics, transparency kept
- Black & white JPG: documents and print

How it works
1. Pick photos. Tap a photo if it needs a format of its own.
2. Choose the format and options and check the preview. Save the rule as a profile if you use it often.
3. Compare original and result side by side, then save or share.

Limits, up front
- HEIC photos are converted only where this device can decode them; a photo it cannot decode fails on its own and the rest continue.
- Saving as JPEG fills transparent areas with the colour you chose.
- Saving as PNG or lossless WebP does not restore detail a JPEG source has already lost, and the file can be larger.
- Location and camera metadata (EXIF) are not copied into the result.
- Animated images and PDF are not supported.
- Up to 20 photos per batch for free, 100 with Pro. Up to 50 MB and 50 MP per photo.

Pro (one-time purchase)
- Removes ads and raises the batch limit to 100 photos. Not a subscription.

Privacy
- Anonymous usage statistics and crash reports are on by default and can be switched off in Settings. They never include your photos or file names.
