Comments on Core Defense for Android

★★★★☆ jed Rudolph · Apr 12, 2026

TLDR: Very good, but falls short of its true potential. Detail: Best tower defense I've found. I like that the mastery system lets you front-load your strategy before you begin the game, but it needs more options. There's too many must-picks and not enough interactions to make the rest anywhere near as good. The towers suffer from a similar issue. Some are much better than others. Combine the cleaver tower with area damage, optimize the rewards you get in mastery, and every level is cake.

I love this game a lot. Not much content for those who are not willing to pay the premium, but it is still pretty entertaining. I can play this game all day!

★☆☆☆☆ Joshua Chandra · May 5, 2023

Doesn't see to work on Android ver 12 or One UI 4.0. Taps, even directly on X's to get out of menus, do nothing. I wasn't able to even summon enemies or pick a tower type a single time (the button did nothing when tapped). Uninstalled, regretfully.

The game itself is locked behind a pay wall.

★☆☆☆☆ Dark Wolf · Apr 4, 2022

Game is very well-designed for Tower Defense game, but all its best features are locked behind a hefty paywall.

★★☆☆☆ Fragheund S · Feb 18, 2023

"Flawless! Flawless!" Game says I have Flawless gameplay, and I have no idea what I'm doing. No rhyme or reason to anything here. Has potential but no delivery.

★☆☆☆☆ Jeff Foster · Jul 16, 2022

Just doesn't work. There are 7 "things" (like grid squares) to place and 1 weapon tower? Once I place 3 grid square things, there is only 1 left. The 1 gun and 1 grid thing can't be placed. There is a setting icon, a question mark icon and some kind of 'list' icon - none of them do a damned thing. The main menu has no help for basic game play. I farted around with it for 15 minutes and never did figure out how to play.
