Description by daydream arts(from Google Play)
CubeLab is a real 3D Cube timer and trainer, built for speedcubers who want a tool that feels as serious as their PB attempts — and for anyone who just wants a satisfying cube to mess around with on their phone.
Solve a genuine 3D cube — 2×2, 3×3, or 4×4 — right on your screen. Drag any layer to twist it, or use your keyboard. The cube is modeled with rounded cubies and individually raised stickers, so it looks and feels like a real speedcube, not a flat color swap.
TIMED SOLVING, THE WCA WAY • Scramble, then 15 seconds of inspection, then solve — the same flow as official competition • The timer starts the instant you touch the cube and stops the instant you finish, so nothing gets between you and your time • Automatic +2 penalty past 15 seconds and DNF past 17, following official WCA rules • Scrambles are generated with the same random-state algorithm used in real competition software, so every scramble is a fair, unbiased test
FREE PLAY Turn the cube however you like, undo any move, no clock watching. Good for drilling algorithms or just fidgeting.
TRACK YOUR PROGRESS • Best single, Ao5, Ao12, and session mean, calculated the official WCA way — including proper trims and DNF handling • Full solve history with scrambles you can tap to review • Export your session as CSV whenever you want • Stats are tracked separately per cube size, so your 2×2 times never mix with your 4×4 times
BUILT TO FEEL RIGHT • A layered "thock" sound on every turn, modeled after a real speedcube, with just enough per-turn variation that fast solving never sounds robotic • Light haptic feedback on every snap • The cube is always framed correctly and sized appropriately for your device — phone, tablet, or desktop — and locked against accidental pinch or scroll zoom mid-solve • Light and dark themes, a safe-area-aware layout, and a clean HUD that stays out of your way
PRIVATE BY DEFAULT CubeLab doesn't collect your data. No accounts, no ads, no analytics — your solves and stats stay on your device. See the in-app Privacy Policy for details.
Whether you're chasing a new personal best or just want a real cube to fidget with, CubeLab is built to be the cube in your pocket.
Cornercut (formerly CubeLab) — new name, new icon, same app.
- Fresh corner-twist brand icon and logo - Fixed timer overlapping the scramble on 4×4 - Scramble button now protected from accidental taps mid-solve - Add or edit +2/DNF penalties on any solve, not just the last one - Free play now hides the clock, as intended - New one-time hint for swipe-to-turn vs. drag-to-rotate - Audible + haptic cue when inspection time runs out
About
CubeLab is built and maintained by one developer. I read every review and reply to email. If you hit a bug or want a feature, tell me — the fixes in this release came directly from tester feedback.
Coming next: 5×5 support, custom scramble input, and csTimer import.
Recent changes: What's new in 1.3.0 • Session graph: see your singles, Ao5 and Ao12 trend right in Stats. • Import from csTimer: bring over your history, pick sessions and the cube size. Solves you already have are skipped. • Save CSV: export your solves to a file, with clean times. • Safer storage: your solves are saved in a way that survives crashes, and big histories (20,000 solves) stay fast.
