Not horrible, actually quite entertaining but tricky, ads are decently often but the no ad option isn't horribly priced. Although, even with the no ads they still do little pop-ups to try to get you to pay for in game currency

It would be a GREAT game if you were not forced to watch an ad every 5 seconds. Literally. In the time it took me to scout, I had 3 ads. It was 15 seconds to scout russia from my capital. Not to mention the fact you aren't able to transport troops from one city to another, or mass select easily. You are only able to select what's visible on your screen (not even the entire usa) and can not move the display over other locations to attack. You can only attack what is in view at the moment...
