Coursera as a personal development and education site is the best place I can endorse for pursuing your career. The app on the other hand, seriously needs a refresh function. The courses I do on either the phone or browser don't reflect in the app properly. My completed course, notes and progress don't refresh for hours on the app. I hope the Coursera app dev team can fix this user experience bug. I can't recommend the app otherwise

Buyer Beware. Be extremely careful when signing up for a Coursera free trial. System has a glitch!!! The cancellation process may not work as expected. I had canceled my subscription, but I never received a cancellation confirmation email and was later charged. Make sure you receive a cancellation confirmation email and verify that your subscription status shows as canceled. Otherwise, you may continue to be charged without realizing it. Customer support refused to issue a refund despite

Coursera used to offer a vast range of courses for *free*, those same free courses are now locked behind an $80 a month paywall, or buying the course outright. It's such a shame to see greed take them over. There is almost nothing left today that's still free and both the site and app have become difficult to navigate efficiently. All in all the direction they went is a huge disappointment
