How it works for freelance court reporters:
DISCOVER
We’ll help you find the perfect job based on the information you provide in your profile, or search for a job on our ad-free job board on your own using our most advanced, customizable filters. See all uncovered jobs on a map view with links to the job details to find jobs within the closest proximity.
You can search agency profiles and assign a favorite tier to the ones you love working with or block the ones with whom you don’t want to work.
Set email job alerts using our filters and cut down on the noise; only get alerts for the exact jobs you want.
COLLABORATION
Respond to a job ad by clicking either “Cover” or “Inquire,” and you can chat directly with the scheduler about the details and exchange information; you can choose to give them your email, cell phone number, and rate sheet at that time. Your information is never shared without your action.
After a job is completed, give agencies access to your W-9.
Collaborate with other freelancers by leaving an agency review.
You can also “Like” a job ad, giving other freelancers confidence in covering jobs for your favorite agency, helping them get their jobs covered.
CALENDARING
Use CoverCrow to schedule, cover jobs, & communicate. Once you’ve been assigned, access document files and job worksheets from your desktop or mobile device.
You can manage all your jobs in one place on your My Jobs dashboard, where you can see jobs you responded to as interested or wanting to cover, jobs that are upcoming, in progress, completed, canceled, or archived, from all your agencies in one place.
Let agencies know your availability with our Live, real-time check-in availability status, where you can check in at home, out in the field, at a specific address, or in court (in CA only); we don’t track your whereabouts, but we can quickly ping your location once to find you in the field.
Our Court Roll Call feature (only in CA), let’s you check in to a department and get assigned to all the jobs in that courtroom. Smartly distribute our resources to ensure that we can supply the demand for our services and ensure that no proceeding goes uncovered!
Our “Auto-Accept” feature allows our system to respond to jobs on your behalf while you’re on the record or driving. Our “Auto-Accept” feature acts like your own personal assistant! Set your filters, like you would for a job alert, make sure you’ve added a favorite tier to at least one agency, and when the perfect job comes on the board, we will respond that you’d like to cover the job. If you change your mind, simply disable the “Auto-Accept” to cancel it.
