After researching several smart calendars, I went with (cozyla) and I'm very impressed. Set up was easy and fun, the kids loved to help with the set-up they were mostly excited with the chores and routine, and how they can accumulate stars. The meal planning and grocery list features are surprisingly helpful for daily life. The photo screen saver is a nice bonus that makes it feel less like a work tool and more like a family hub. Shared Calendar experience is great for family, the meal planning needs some help, chore charts are fun, access to other apps like YouTube and weather have been great. I haven't had a chance to use everything.

Calander works great but the grocery list wipes clear every time you enter a new item. My app is also up-to-date, so there's another bug needing fixed

It’s improved since the app launched, but usability is still poor. Being stuck on a slow mobile app with no web portal makes logging meals a chore. The workflows are illogical as well. You shouldn't have to trigger a calendar add just to access your own recipe list. It’s a good concept that is currently hindered by too much friction. Streamlining the navigation and adding a web version are essential. This is a product designed to manage chores, don't make it a chore to manage.

Cozyla pushed an AI onto my device without notifying me or asking my permission, and while I had automatic updates disabled. The AI cannot be disabled or removed, the icon can only be hidden from the home screen but the AI overlay will still present itself on-screen. I have listed the hardware on Facebook marketplace to get rid of it, and I'm actively looking for more respectful alternatives. You should too.

The lack of a location and notes field on calendar is disappointing. It is also frustrating that you cannot change the week start from Sunday to Monday. Nor can you assign any tags/filters to a profile, so it is not possible to split an individuals events into leisure/work etc. 3rd party cal colors don't sync. Additionally, the app defaults to the current date when adding a new entry, rather than the date selected from the month view. Lastly, no cal widget exists - ridiculous!

There's no way to set meals on repeat, the import gets recipes catastrophically wrong, and the grocery list doesn't show amounts. So you have to go through your entire menu plan looking for each ingredient to add amounts to the list, otherwise your might forget that you need tomatoes not just for salad night, but Taco night too.
