Update: developers fixed the streaming issue a day later, and I'm very happy with the outcome. I can now again stream cp24 without having to log in through a cable provider. Thrilled with quick response! They removed the ability to stream it from the app for free without cable television subscription. Terrible!

Cant watch live news without signing in to a service provider. Unfortunately not everyone has a service provider. I'll be no longer watching CP24 and imagine a lot other people will to. Considering the vastness of the city of Toronto and the volume of newsworthy events occurring daily, it is surprising the amount of repetitive content in this site. It isn't that Rogers (owners of CP24) are without the resources to provide fresh content.

The new updated format is terrible. The layout makes no sense and feels utterly cluttered. Stories repeated/relisted 2 and 3 times as I scroll. The mix of types of visual layouts with needing to scroll horizontally for stories and vertically for videos clips is unappealing and annoying. With the previous cleaner format, I used to use the app many times a day. Now I check it maybe once or twice and even then it's so jumbled, I just head over to CBC's.
