Description by crabhands (from Google Play)

Let us track your favourite artists and send you notification alerts when they release new music on Spotify, or when we discover any upcoming releases for them!

To set up a new account, just hit the Sign Up button, follow the instructions and then login to your Spotify account. We will scan for the artists that you follow. A list of the latest new releases will then be available in the app. If we find any upcoming releases for them we will also display these in the app.

If you've enabled push notifications then we'll notify you when we find new and upcoming releases for your artists.

New music releases are by default added to a playlist which we create within your Spotify account so that you have one easy place to listen to new music. You can change this option at any time from the Settings screen.

We sync the artists you follow on Spotify before we check for new releases, so if you have followed new artists then they'll get included when we scan for new releases.

Please note: you cannot listen to the releases within the app - you do this within Spotify as usual.

Comments on crabhands: new music releases for Android

★★★★★ Zac Sanson · Mar 23, 2022

Love the app, it just works in the background without having to do much. Wake up with my new music in a Spotify playlist to listen to. Thanks.

★★★★★ Belldandy · Aug 11, 2024

I love this app! I recently switched from Spotify to YouTube music and their app is useless to find new releases, so I'm sooooo glad this app exists. Thank you crab hands app 🙂

★★★★★ Tilak Patel · Aug 12, 2021

Does exactly what it needs for me which is to track new artists releases in a way that's better than the release radar

★☆☆☆☆ Collin Baird · Oct 6, 2021

Download the app and install it when I read the terms of condition when linking My Spotify account I didn't realize it gave crab hands unlimited access to do what they want with my account. For me that's a dealbreaker users beware!!!!

★☆☆☆☆ Raheem Ali · Oct 15, 2024

App no longer free and instead of a one time fee you have to pay either a monthly or annual subscription. Not happening, another app in the waste.

★☆☆☆☆ James Kellett · Sep 27, 2024

Was great before Spotify had any way to see new releases, now it's just a cash grab. This app requires a monthly subscription roughly 20% the cost of a Spotify subscription. All it does is put new releases in a playlist.
