Crescendo

Crescendo is a simple music rehearsal log that feels like jotting notes onto sheet music clipped to a wooden stand in a cozy practice room. The entire screen is styled as a warm wood-grain surface, with your practice data presented on chalkboards and manuscript paper. Four tabs give you quick access to every part of your routine: Home, Sessions, Timer, and Stats. The Home tab shows your weekly practice total in white chalk on a miniature green chalkboard, alongside a streak counter drawn as chalk tally marks, plus a quick-start button that jumps straight to the timer. The Timer tab is your active session screen, where you name the piece, choose your instrument, start the stopwatch, and save to create a new rehearsal entry. Every rehearsal you record becomes a card shaped like ivory staff-lined manuscript paper, with the piece name handwritten in dark ink, the duration displayed as a tiny metronome marking, and the date in the corner. Older entries naturally develop a warm yellow patina and a subtle curl at the bottom-right corner over time. In the Sessions tab you can scroll through your full rehearsal history, sort by date or piece, search by name, swipe to delete, or tap any entry to edit its details. The Stats tab gathers insights from your locally stored rehearsals, showing total practice minutes, average session length, your longest streak, and a list of pieces ranked by cumulative practice time. The bottom tab bar rests on a narrow shadowed ledge, where a metronome, sheet music sheaf, stopwatch, and pencil act as your navigation objects—the active one tilts upward with a soft brass glow so you always know where you are. Because all your rehearsal data lives strictly on your device with no accounts or internet required, your practice diary stays private and always available. You can fully create, read, edit, and delete any rehearsal entry without friction, giving you a clean local practice log that respects your time and focus. Crescendo helps you build a consistent practice habit by turning brief daily reflections into a visually warm, tangible record of your progress. Whether you are a music student recording daily sessions, an amateur instrumentalist finding your rhythm, or a hobbyist who simply wants a lightweight diary, this app becomes a thoughtful companion on your music stand.
