Cribbage

Play cribbage offline against the computer. Every scoring combination is explained. First to 121 wins; the dealer alternates. A skunk means the loser has under 91 points, a double skunk under 61. Ace is 1; face cards are 10 for counting, but keep their ranks for runs.

Difficulty changes decisions, never the cards. Every deal has a visible seed.

Each player receives six cards and puts two into the dealer's extra hand, the crib. Choose any two cards here and send them. Keep strong pairs and fifteens; your crib returns to you after the hand.

Cut to reveal the starter. Every hand counts its four cards plus this shared starter. If it is a jack, the dealer scores two immediately. Cut this pack to try it.

Players alternate cards without passing 31. The total here is 7: play the 8 to reach 15 and score two. Reaching 31 also scores two.

A consecutive matching pair scores 2, three equal ranks 6, four 12. A run of at least three ranks scores one per card, in any play order. Play the 7 to complete 5–6–7.

At 28 your king and queen cannot fit under 31. Say Go. The opponent continues as long as possible. The last card scores one unless it reaches 31, which scores two. Then the count resets to zero.

Count the non-dealer's hand, then the dealer's, then the crib. Every subset totaling 15 scores 2; each pair 2; each longest run one per card. Duplicate ranks multiply runs. Tap each combination: these cards score 9.

Four same-suit hand cards score 4, or 5 if the starter matches. In the crib all five must match; four score nothing. Three hand cards and a matching starter never make a flush. Compare the examples below.

A jack in the hand or crib matching the starter's suit scores 1: nobs. A starter jack gives the dealer 2 immediately: heels. They are different rules; one jack cannot earn both. Compare the two examples.

Muggins: count your own hand before revealing the combinations. Missed points go to your opponent.
