Crop Craft: Photo Shape Crop

Crop Craft is the fastest way to crop a photo into any shape and export a clean, transparent cutout — perfect for edge-to-edge engraving, stickers, laser engraving, vinyl cutting, and every kind of maker project.

THE ENGRAVER'S SHORTCUT — EDGE-TO-EDGE
Here's the trick makers love: snap a photo of the blank you want to engrave — a wood round, a coaster, a tile, any flat surface — then tap Shape and Crop Craft traces its exact outline. Save that contour to a slot, load your artwork, and crop it to fit the blank edge to edge. Your design drops neatly inside the real shape of your material and matches the photographed outline every time. It's the built-in Edge-to-Edge Engraving workflow, right in the app.

Working with people or products instead? Load any photo, tap Shape, and Crop Craft traces the outline of your subject automatically. On supported devices it uses on-device subject detection to find the foreground and knock out the background, so everything outside the outline turns transparent. Prefer a clean geometric look? Pick a built-in shape mask — circle crop, square, or heart — and clip your image in a single tap.

WHY CROP CRAFT
• Photo crop to any shape — circle crop, square, heart, or snap a photo of your wood blank or tile and crop any image to its exact outline
• Automatic outline detection — smart subject detection traces the edge of your subject on device
• Transparent PNG export — save a crisp PNG with a transparent background, no white box behind it
• SVG cutting paths — export your contour as an SVG cutting line for Cricut, Silhouette, and other cutting machines
• Image cutout in seconds — isolate a subject, remove the background, and share the result

SHAPE MASKS & CUSTOM SHAPES
Start with a built-in shape mask for a perfect circle crop, square, or heart, or trace a custom shape from a photo, stencil, or wooden blank. Save up to five contours to reusable slots and apply the same custom shape to photo after photo — ideal for edge-to-edge engraving templates.

BUILT FOR MAKERS
• Laser engraving — clip artwork edge-to-edge to the exact outline of your blank
• Vinyl cutting — export SVG cutting lines that drop straight into your cutting software
• Sticker making — transparent PNG cutouts for print-and-cut sticker sheets
• Photo art & social — crop portraits and products into a circle, heart, or custom shape

FINE-TUNE EVERYTHING
Adjust the padding around a detected outline, tune brightness and contrast before you crop, rotate and pinch-zoom freely, smooth the outline, and set any background color — or keep it fully transparent. Undo and redo let you experiment without fear.
