The gold standard of electronic crosswords as far as I'm concerned. I always miss features from this when I play handheld crossword games or other apps. Which is why it's so annoying that NYT now restricts new puzzles to their own much-inferior app. None of the remaining puzzle sources measure up to NYT (my favorite is World of Crosswords), but this app is so much better that I really don't care - not enough to use both apps, at least.

With latest update it clears a partially complete puzzle on open. Otherwise a great piece of software and I have been enjoying it for years. It will get fixed.

It's the best crossword app I've come across and buggy as... For example, sometimes when I delete a puzzle it comes back a few minutes later. I start doing a puzzle before soon realizing it's one i just recently completed and deleted. Another problem is that if I need a letter for the last square on the puzzle I don't receive my completion time. Now uninstalled after a catty, unhelpful response from the developer.

This app used to work great, and then it suddenly stopped responding. I've cleared the data and cache and uninstalled and reinstalled the app (vanilla install), and it still doesn't work. Update: Have not used this app in 2 years since my review and got another response back from the developer 2 years later that my review was "arbitrary." Ok well arbitrarily speaking, I guess me and the dozens of others just happened upon the same exact problem using it. The review stays. Best of luck mate👍🏼
