Description
Chess pieces have personality. A Knight jumps in L-shapes. A Bishop slides diagonally. A Rook charges in straight lines. Now imagine merging two Knights into a Bishop. Slapping a Vampiric mutation on your Rook so it heals every time it captures an enemy. Watching your Berserker Queen ignore all movement rules and charge straight at the biggest threat on the board. That's Crowned Chess.
MERGE TO EVOLVE Start each wave with a handful of chess pieces. Drag matching pieces together to forge something stronger. Two Pawns become a Knight. Two Knights become a Bishop. Keep merging up the chain until you've built your ultimate piece: the King. But the merge timer is ticking — every second counts.
DEPLOY YOUR STRATEGY Place your army on a 5×5 tactical grid. Front line or back row? Protect your high-value pieces or put them in the danger zone for early captures? Your deployment decides the battle before it begins.
WATCH THE BATTLE UNFOLD Once deployed, your pieces fight automatically using their real chess movement rules. Knights jump in L-shapes. Bishops slide diagonally. Rooks charge straight. But everyone moves at the same time, creating beautiful, unpredictable chaos. Speed up, slow down, or just sit back and watch.
MUTATE EVERYTHING After each wave, choose from three rewards. Maybe it's a Phantom mutation that lets your Bishop pass through walls. Or a Chrono power that freezes all enemies every three turns. Or a Singularity curse that destroys a 3×3 area when the piece dies — including your own army. Eight unique mutations. Dozens of synergy combinations. The Vampiric Berserker Rook that charges enemies and heals on every kill. The Phantom Chrono King that walks through walls and freezes time. You'll discover combos that feel like YOUR invention.
FACE THE BOSSES Every few waves, a boss appears. The Giant Rook sweeps entire rows. The Twin Knights move in perfect mirror synchronization. The Chaos Queen changes her movement pattern every single turn. And the final Shadow King? He copies every mutation you've built and turns it against you.
GROW BETWEEN RUNS Every run earns Crown Points. Spend them on permanent upgrades: more merge time, extra piece slots, higher mutation drop rates, stat boosts for your entire army. You lose a run, but you never lose progress.
DESIGNED FOR QUICK SESSIONS One wave takes about 90 seconds. A full run takes 12-15 minutes. Perfect for the commute, the waiting room, or that "just one more run" moment before bed. Auto-save means you can stop and resume anytime.
