MERGE TO EVOLVE
Start each wave with a handful of chess pieces. Drag matching pieces together to forge something stronger. Two Pawns become a Knight. Two Knights become a Bishop. Keep merging up the chain until you've built your ultimate piece: the King. But the merge timer is ticking — every second counts.

DEPLOY YOUR STRATEGY
Place your army on a 5×5 tactical grid. Front line or back row? Protect your high-value pieces or put them in the danger zone for early captures? Your deployment decides the battle before it begins.

WATCH THE BATTLE UNFOLD
Once deployed, your pieces fight automatically using their real chess movement rules. Knights jump in L-shapes. Bishops slide diagonally. Rooks charge straight. But everyone moves at the same time, creating beautiful, unpredictable chaos. Speed up, slow down, or just sit back and watch.

MUTATE EVERYTHING
After each wave, choose from three rewards. Maybe it's a Phantom mutation that lets your Bishop pass through walls. Or a Chrono power that freezes all enemies every three turns. Or a Singularity curse that destroys a 3×3 area when the piece dies — including your own army.

Every run earns Crown Points. Spend them on permanent upgrades: more merge time, extra piece slots, higher mutation drop rates, stat boosts for your entire army. You lose a run, but you never lose progress.
