Have used this for a while and am very satisfied. The only thing I really want changed is the ability to add a font shadow rather than colored background and the option to import my own fonts. Edit: I think this app us abandoned, which is a great pity. It still works well-just don't expect updates.

As someone else said, this could be the go-to app. Unfortunately, the support for custom quotes is pretty bad. Manually entered quotes keep getting ignored, can't make a custom list to cycle through at least not obvious in the UI, and import crashes the app immediately. So, as an ordinary app for displaying someone else's favorite thoughts, it's acceptable. But as a custom quote display, it fails pretty hard. Here's hoping it gets much better.

Highly disappointing! I have been searching for a widget that allows me to display the words I want in a customized way on my screen so after installing and deleting over 100 apps I was almost excited when I began to construct my widget using this app just 15 minutes ago. I was pleased that I could customize the font, colors and layout. I wanted to view the display and make changes as needed, so I finished and the display appeared. The layout was wrong, so I tried clicking on the screen but no settings button could be found, and a sudden error message appeared saying that custom quote had quit working. I backed out of the screen and tried to access the app instead, but it would not open. I deleted the widget and tried to create a new one but after moving a box to my screen it simply evaporated. I tried to open the app again, then the widget, then cleaned all open pages in background and shut my screen off and turned it on again to repeat all these steps several times. It just quit working and will not restart or let me access it at all. Very, very disappointed
