Description by Toma Floarea Written by the developer, not by AppBrain. Click to read.
The Mass incorporates the Bible (Sacred Scripture), prayer, sacrifice, hymns, symbols, gestures, sacred food for the soul, and directions on how to live a Catholic life — all in one ceremony. Eastern Rite Catholics call their Mass the Divine Liturgy, but it’s essentially the same.
The mass consists of two principal rites: the liturgy of the Word and the liturgy of the Eucharist. The first includes readings from Scripture , the homily (sermon), and intercessory prayer. Roman Catholic liturgy has its roots in Judaism and the New Testament.
The readings for Mass are contained in something called the lectionary. iBreviary is not a lectionary, it’s a breviary and is used for praying the Liturgy of the Hours. The lectionary readings are the same everywhere . The breviary readings are the same everywhere .
