Used it for some time w/ AC, works well! Had to retry 3–4 times @ the beginning to connect it to the App; kept going "offline" after an apparently successful connection, finally made it work! Guide is a little unclear on when to choose which Internet (as it makes a virtual Wi-Fi aside ur actual Wi-Fi). Shows indoor temp. If goes offline, let it sit, might come back. It's a little unstable but can be AC Wi-Fi issue, not the App. Location is required ONLY at setup, not afterward... Thx to technology!

Decent app to control your portable Air conditioning unit. Remotely however the scheduling options are not very flexible in terms of unit functionalities like tilt, fan speed, etc. only mode, on off, time. The scheduling options need some enhancement. Sign-up and username password form is very primitive, no Oauth options to sign-up with Google or other auth providers, and when entering the password it's not a protected field, it's a clear text.

I can control my ac unit from work .... and turn it on for my mom

I bought a portable AC at Costco. I bought it for the quiet Inverter Motor. Within a few months, it began shaking and getting noisy each time it would start up. I contacted Costco to have it replaced, but Costco had discontinued selling Danby products. I contacted Danby and found it's a Canadian company with no service providers in my area (Utah). They offered to replace the unit but would only replace it with an inferior product, one without an inverter motor. I love the unit but Danby sucks.

Waiting for customer support.... Sadly this new portable AC unit is not living up to the older Danby window units I loved.

I thought you said it works with Google Home? It doesn't. Got a portable ac unit and got the app to work fine, but Home will not see this device thus let me control with it. This happened to me the last two years (when we bring it out to cool house), and I recall having to use a Midea app to get it work (not sure about that).

The app requires access to photo and storage only for a profile picture, if you decline the permission access you can't use the app. I guess a profile picture should be optional not a requirement! Plus the access for location is justified for wireless connections, you can just access to log of Wi-Fi parameters to make sure you're on the right network. Again, it's nice that they ask and clarify the permission request. It will be way better if we can skip it and still use the app
