DanceStep: Practice & Record

DanceStep helps you learn a dance one move at a time using videos you choose.

Import a dance video from your phone and turn the parts you want to learn into saved practice steps. Slow playback to 0.25x, 0.5x or 0.75x, loop a difficult section and mirror the video while you work through it. Add a name and note to each step; timed prompts show your notes as the step plays. Set a repeat goal, take short breaks between loops, or use optional manual 1–8 count cues.

When you're ready, record a practice take with the front or rear camera. Keep a movable reference-video guide and step prompts on screen while you record. Choose a 3-, 5-, or 10-second countdown and adjust the guide speed. Open your take beside its reference video, adjust the timing and replay saved steps to see how your movement compares.

Create a step-by-step explanation MP4 from your saved sections. Add instruction text, timed arrows or circles, and optional voice narration. Preview the result, then save or share the video.

Your projects and video recordings are stored on your device. The core practice tools work without an account. You can back up a dance and its linked takes to a file and restore them later.

DanceStep is designed for self-guided dance practice. Choose videos you have the right to use and share.
