Dark Knockout

Dark Knockout is a reflex-based arcade experience focused on movement control, quick reactions, and survival under pressure.

The player controls a character that moves strictly along the bottom of the screen, limited to horizontal motion within visible boundaries. From the top, various objects continuously fall downward, creating a dynamic and unpredictable flow of elements.

The objective in Dark Knockout is to collect beneficial objects while avoiding obstacles. Each collected item increases the score, while every collision with a harmful object reduces the player’s health. The player starts with three lives, and each mistake brings them closer to the end of the session.

Once all three lives are lost, the game ends immediately. The final score reflects the total number of successfully collected objects during the run.

Gameplay is continuous and demands constant attention. The player must balance movement precision and reaction speed, adjusting position in real time to maximize gains and avoid damage.

Scores are saved in Records if the result is greater than zero. The system is designed to preserve progress even if the session is interrupted. Exiting to the menu or closing the application does not prevent the result from being recorded.

If the game is minimized or the player switches to another application, it automatically pauses and displays a pause window. Upon returning, the player can resume from the same moment by closing the pause dialog.

Interaction with gameplay elements is disabled while dialogs are active, ensuring stable and predictable behavior.

Dark Knockout provides a focused arcade challenge where every movement matters and each decision directly affects the outcome.
