iShredder™ – secure data eraser and file shredder for Android
Choose what to keep and what to erase. iShredder by Protectstar helps you securely delete selected photos, videos, documents and folders, and overwrite unused storage to reduce accessible traces of previously deleted files. SELECT FILES, NOT YOUR WHOLE PHONE
The built-in file explorer lets you choose the content you want to remove. Select private photos, downloaded PDFs, scanned identity documents or work files you no longer need. You decide the scope of the operation instead of choosing a factory reset just to remove a few files.

ALREADY DELETED YOUR FILES?
Deleting a file and overwriting unused storage are different tasks. An unused-space wipe writes to available storage to help reduce accessible remnants of earlier files. This is a privacy feature, not a capacity upgrade: it does not increase the total storage on your phone. Choose it when your goal is to address traces of content you have already removed.

ERASURE METHODS FOR DIFFERENT TASKS
Choose from the overwrite methods available in your edition, including single-pass and multi-pass options and methods such as DoD 5220.22-M. The right choice depends on the storage and task, not simply on the highest pass count. More passes take more time. Review the selected method and files before you start.

ERASURE REPORTS, CLEAR RECORDS
Use the reporting functions included in your edition to document completed operations. Keep a record for your own files, a device handover or an internal review. An erasure report documents the selected process; it is not a guarantee that every copy of a document has been deleted everywhere.

APP SECURITY AND RECOGNITION
The March 2026 DEKRA MASA L1 validation covered iShredder Android 7.2.3 against selected OWASP MASVS app-security requirements. Separately, iShredder received the Fortress Cybersecurity Award 2025. App-security validation and recognition of the product are distinct from the outcome of an individual erase operation.

CHOOSE THE FEATURES YOU NEED
Additional erasure methods and reporting options vary by edition. Some features require an in-app purchase or subscription. Check the included functions, billing period and renewal terms shown in the app before purchasing. Choose an option for the tasks you actually need, from personal file deletion to recurring document handling and device handovers.

ANDROID STORAGE AND PRIVACY
Available targets depend on Android permissions, device support and edition; supported SD cards can be processed where accessible. Results depend on encryption and flash storage. App-level overwriting cannot guarantee access to every physical flash cell. Cloud backups and copies on other devices must be managed separately. For a full handover, also follow the manufacturer's account-removal and factory-reset instructions.
