Davo Launcher: Home Screen is a fast Android launcher for a clean home screen. Set Davo as your default home launcher and the phone opens here when you press Home. The grid, dock, and app drawer are ready the first time you swipe up.

This home screen launcher keeps the screen quiet. Your apps sit in a simple grid. The dock holds the apps you open all day, such as Phone, messages, and the browser. Folders group the rest, so Social, work, and video stay in one tap. Swipe up from the dock, or tap the handle at the bottom, to open the app drawer and reach every installed app. Long-press an empty spot on the home screen to change the layout.

Search from the app drawer. Find an app by name, open a contact, or jump to a phone setting. Search covers apps, contacts, and settings such as Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, display, sound, battery, location, notifications, and accessibility. Contact names are matched on the phone. Davo does not upload your contacts.

Change the look without leaving the home screen. Quiet, Ink, and Glass are three themes for the dock, folders, and labels. Pick a small, medium, or large icon size. Show app names or hide them. Choose a 4 by 5, 5 by 5, or 4 by 6 grid. Use the system icons, or apply an icon pack you have already installed. Icon packs follow the usual icon pack format, so a pack made for other launchers can supply the icons here.

Wallpaper stays yours. Davo shows the phone wallpaper, including a live wallpaper. You can also pick a picture from the phone and add blur, soft or strong. The picture is drawn inside Davo. Your system wallpaper is left as it is.

Home screen widgets sit in the grid with your icons. Add a widget, then move it or resize it. Remove it when you do not want it. Widgets are part of the page, not a strip along the edge.

App lock protects an app you choose. Long-press the icon and lock it. Open it later with a PIN or your fingerprint. The PIN stays on the phone as a hash. Fingerprint checks are done by Android on the device. App lock is a gate on this launcher. Keep a screen lock in Android settings as well.

Gestures are optional. After you turn on Davo gestures in Accessibility, swipe down on the home screen for notifications. A two-finger swipe can open Quick Settings. You can also set a gesture for recent apps or the lock screen. The gesture service does not read the screen and does not read what you type. Leave it off and the rest of the launcher still works.

The home you build can be saved on the phone. Save home writes a local backup in Downloads. Restore home brings that layout back, including after you install Davo again. There is no account to sign in to, and no cloud copy. The backup does not include your PIN.

Davo is a minimal launcher. It opens fast, scrolls with the page, and stays out of the way. There are no ads. There is no feed on the home screen. The first run is short: learn the swipe, set Davo as the Home app, pick a look, and land on your grid.
