I love this app... It helps me to show others the seasonal affect of the sun. Paid for ad-free hoping I could change default location, but still opens with Londonistan, Englandistan

Worked great until today's update...now, widget doesn't work...blank on screen. Go to the app, and it opens fine...just the widget not working. Y'all might want to roll back the update. UPDATE - Thanks for the widget fix!!!

This is a cool app that lets you see the shadow of the earth on itself in real time - changes minute by minute and season to season, so you can see day time and nighttime all over the world - other cool features the exact position where the sun and moon are directly overhead - lets you adjust day and time to see the map other than a live scenario - flags several world cities with optional crosshairs - really cool app

I just installed this, happy to find a daylight map occupying less than 6mb. So far, very impressed; all software should be this slick.

Update for 2022: FOR OVER SEVEN YEARS I've had this app, and it's STILL a GREAT APP, so Read on! This is the ONLY Day/Night app to have...the display is CLEAR. I use it for Amateur Radio "Grey Line" propagation in real-time, and forecasting. Truly a Pocket Geochron! So a tip of the Telegrapher's Green Visor to the developer, "73", and All the Best from Radio Station W8LV!

For once there is app content that is ideal for viewing in portrait mode (the day-night line is rather vertical at most inhabited latitudes) and guess what; this app is fixed in landscape mode. And what's wrong with a simple Patterson map projection, instead of this squeezed stuff?

Generally good. Re Adelaide: statistics for city wrong but map with correct sunrise and sunset. Upgraded to kill ad-vert-s & get user loc. But time zones missing: no Nfld (GMT-3.5/-2.5) or N.C. Chile (despite Santiago) (GMT-4/-3) among others. Here it is the mid-2022 and none of the bugs I mentioned have been eliminated. When you are in Nfld, the time zone magically appears, otherwise, not available: strange. Apparently, I only got Nfld when I visited. The tablet I left behind doesn't have it

I got the paid version. I do not recommend it. The ads disappear and the display gets skewed filling the space from the ads. The map gets stretched and the sun and moon discs become ovals, and it is most annoying. This app irks me now, and I am extremely disappointed. The free version is 5 stars, but the paid version is definitely not.
