Use this search app in conjunction with Mozilla Firefox or Ice Cat Browser. Avoid Google Chrome (better disable it!!, and set mozilla Firefox as default browser). You must also use following add-ons in Mozilla Https Everywhere, unblock origin, privacy badger. While installing there will be an option to make these add-ons work in private mode. Check that and create a shortcut on home for private browsing. In this way whatever you search in Meager app will open in private browsing of mozilla.

This is the best search engine I have found. There is less B.S. in the search results and it runs smoothly. There are a variety of options in the settings including an option to use this search engine for free.

It's a good app using interesting approaches. Search results are opened in your default browser which doesn't have to be Chrome. This way it doesn't interfere with your browser experience at all. You can also open them inside the app anonymously via proxy service. The service is not free but typically costs one token per search which equals one Cent or €0.01. There's no subscription model. If an ad-free, tracking-free experience isn't worth it for you, don't bother.

This is the most ridiculous thing I've ever seen. Doesn't even make sense from the start. You telling me I have to buy my searches? It says free but no obvious explanations as to how one uses it. Where exactly does this "key" go? I don't even see a search box except one that doesn't work.

This app would be splendid if it only had a dedicated web browser and start page built into it rather than having to use firefox and all the silly add-ons firefox apparently has never figured out how to just put into their gawd-damned app itself. Well, until this great search engine does the aforementioned, users are getting skewed results from Google.
