Description
Debt Tracker helps you manage personal debts, keep track of money owed, and always know how much you owe. If you need a practical debt manager without unnecessary complexity, this app gives you a clear place to record amounts, follow payments, and review everything in one place.
You can create personal debts in multiple currencies and assign them to contacts created inside the app. If you want, you can also sync those contacts with your device address book to import their name and photo, always as an optional feature. This makes it easier to keep everything organized and adapt the app to the way you already work.
Key features:
- Manage personal debts in multiple currencies - Use a debt manager and payment tracker for every debt - Add partial payments and record multiple payments for the same debt - Check balances by contact and see a global balance - Filter, search, and sort your debt history the way you prefer - Add due dates and set reminders before each payment - Create backups, import data, and export your information whenever you need - Offline app, no account, and your data always under your control
> Real payment tracking and up-to-date balances:
Each debt can include multiple payments. You can add partial payments as many times as you need and always see how much has been paid and how much is still pending. When the total of all payments reaches the full amount, the debt is automatically marked as paid. This kind of debt tracking is much more useful than a static list, because it reflects the real state of every debt.
> Two ways to review your information:
Most people start with the contacts view because it is the fastest way to review debts, answer "who owes me?", and see who you owe. You can quickly review each contact balance and the overall balance at the top of the screen.
You also get a dedicated debts tab with search, history, and advanced filters. There you can see all debts, only pending debts, only money owed to you, or only what you owe. You can also change the sorting to review recent changes, amounts, or other criteria. If you want more control, this debt manager gives you that extra level of detail and works as a practical debts monitor.
> Due dates and reminders:
One of the most useful parts of the app is its due date management. You can add a due date to each debt, see how much time is left, and configure reminders in advance. That way, the app not only stores your records, but also helps you stay ahead of upcoming payments.
> Privacy, backups, and exports:
This app works with a local database. Your data never leaves your device unless you explicitly decide to take it out yourself, for example through a database export, a CSV export, a clipboard copy, and more. You can also create backups and import your information whenever you need. If you want a private offline app with no account, you stay in control at all times.
> Built for specific searches too:
If you are looking for a simple way to keep money owed, payments, and balances organized, Debt Tracker gives you a practical solution for everyday use. It is especially useful when your questions are "who owes me?", "what do I owe?", and how each debt changes over time.
In short, this app combines debt records, payment tracking, due dates, reminders, and data export in one place. It works as a debt tracker for anyone who asks "who owes me?" and wants more clarity, more control, and a reliable way to manage debts every day.
Recent changes: We fixed an issue that caused some users on older versions of the app to lose or see incorrect data when updating. Now the update happens safely, and all your information stays intact.

Comments on Debt Tracker: Personal Debts for Android

Nice app but you should include unlimited history of all transactions especially settled debts also include the option of part payment to owe for example if debt is paid in parts the app can allow you to submit part payments

It does what it says, the design is simple and intuitive, backups and color changes are locked behind a paywall, but that's okay. My issue though is that 'concept' (the field where you type the reason for the debt) should be intuitive. It will save my time not to be writing 'meat' every time I get one from my customer that sells only that! It's selling point is the partial payment option. A solid 7/10

Too complicated. Why can't I just add name? Instead of contact? No color, not intuitive to see is I owe them, or they owe me.

Forces you to buy subscription App has ads, but that isn't enough for them. They cut out basic features like being able to log and track repayments behind a monthly fee.

I was unable to sync my contacts to be able to add a person for the debt, etc.

Easy, but not useful for me, I want an app to track what a person owes me and what I owe them. For instance, Person A owes me $100 every month, but took my dog to the groomer for $40. They should only owe me $60. This app could not do this.
