DeckWatch

DeckWatch is the deck officer's toolbox: the ship's planning, records and checks in one app, built by a serving Chief Officer for life on board. Everything works offline at sea.

ON BOARD, EVERY DAY
• Home: what is overdue and due this week, defects, certificates and PSC readiness at a glance
• Work plan: routine jobs with steps, any interval, running hours and reminders; bring in your planned maintenance jobs from Excel
• Calendar: jobs, certificates, drills, defects, stock expiry, PSC rectify-by dates and audits due, on one month
• Certificates with expiry, survey and endorsement dates, and early warnings
• Defects and to-dos with reminders, made into jobs when they need work

INSPECTIONS AND AUDITS
• PSC and vetting checklists and your own, gone through with remarks and photos, and saved to history
• PSC results by regime, each deficiency with its action and rectify-by date; audits and vetting, with ISM, ISPS and MLC audits due
• Past inspections, findings and checklists imported from Excel

PASSAGE AND NAVIGATION
• Passage Plan: waypoints in stages, speeds, ETAs and clock changes; RTZ in and out for the ECDIS
• Suggested routes clear of land and shallows, along the traffic separation lanes, with via points: pilot stations, anchorages, positions
• Chart: ECAs and fuel rules, MARPOL special areas, scrubber discharge bans, load line zones, reporting systems, NAVTEX stations, navigational warnings in force (exported for the ECDIS), weather and currents along the route
• Dynamic UKC per waypoint, with CATZOC and squat
• Distances, ETA calculator, radar plot (CPA/TCPA and a trial manoeuvre), anchoring and the anchor watch
• Noon reports: one book for the bridge and the engine room, reports written from your own templates, IMO DCS and EU MRV figures

RECORDS AND COMPLIANCE
• Garbage and Ballast Water Record Books in UTC, with positions and the distance from the nearest land; corrections kept, never erased; PDF and Excel as the books' pages
• Rest hours checked against STCW and MLC as you log them
• Drills: the programme, a drill timer with every step stamped, and breathing apparatus entry control
• Statement of Facts with daily and final reports
• Handover: standing and night orders, acknowledged

CARGO AND DECK
• Coal and gas cargo readings with the CO trend hold by hold, dewpoint and ventilation, paint log
• Enclosed space operations: people, roles, readings and checks due
• IMSBC cargo reference, stowage and securing checklists, mooring line register
• Company forms filled from your records

POCKET GUIDES
COLREG lights and sounds, IALA buoyage, GMDSS with DSC test stations, LSA and FFE, emergencies, enclosed spaces, MARPOL, ship security, weather, seamanship and more, each with drawings and a quiz. Takeover checklists for the 3rd, 2nd and Chief Officer joining a ship.

ONE SHIP, THE WHOLE CREW
No account is needed. Sign in with email or Google to back up your records and share a vessel with your crew, each with a role: the owner sets who can change what, and every record shows who wrote it. Delete your account and your cloud data at any time in the app.

No ads. Your data is never sold.

DeckWatch is a planning and record-keeping aid. It does not replace official charts and publications, the ship's statutory records or your company's procedures. Always check against approved sources.
