The application despite using the same account that the website uses, does not synchronize the changes made to the wishlist/favorites, so basically is useless. If you searched something on the web and wanted to save it, so that you know what to look for when you go to the store, you have to look it up again in the application and add it to your wishlist in there, otherwise it will not appear. Same other way around...
