This is a very cool idea, and the devs are doing an incredible job of implementing that idea; unfortunately, Delta Chat suffers from the same problem that plagues any new chat platform: user buy-in. Sure, everyone has at least one email address, and Delta Chat allows you to send messages to any email address, whether they're using Delta Chat; but then it's just an email, and no one (my age or younger) actually uses email for comms these days

Absolutely fantastic concept, app is very fast and snappy. Look forward to seeing where the devs go with this. I honestly think something like this is the future of messaging unless the highly unlikely outcome of matrix replacing email happens

It's so hard being forced to find a new messaging app I l9se track of which ones I've tested, so I gotta review all tested ones, so I know why to stay away... can't only chat with people on same app
